CHRIST ILLUSION

CHRIST ILLUSION

Slayer’s world tour in support of Christ Illusion marked a significant moment in the band’s history. Kicking off in 2006, the tour saw the return of original drummer Dave Lombardo and visited 30 countries in 19 months. The Christ Illusion album translated into a live show that was both intense and provocative, with controversial album cover art by Larry Carroll displayed via a giant backdrop. Still, the fans ate it up. As Tom Araya told Metal Hammer in 2006, "There's too many smiling faces! You look out in the crowd and you don't see angry faces. You see smiles!"
