Big change-up after the manic intensity of Reign! We discover Tom can sing!! What South in Heaven lacks for in speed it sure makes up for in heaviness. And wow, could Slayer still rule the metal scene back then!! The much underrated South album still features some undeniably classic killer cuts in Mandatory, Crooked Cross (sorry Jeff, it kicks!), Silent Scream, Ghosts, Spill and of course the title track. Sure miss those distorted gats though Sad
