JEFF WAS ONE OF THE BEST GUITARIST IN THE WORLD. I SAW THEM MANY TIMES , AND THE LOSE OF HIM WILL BE TRULLEY MISSED IN THE THRASH METAL WORLD. I HOPE HIS FAMILY CAN BE STRONG DURING THIS HARD TIME IN THEIR LIVES. I KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO LOOSE A FAMILY MEMBER , MY MOTHER JUST DIED BEFORE HIM. I know that there are thousands of comments that say R.I.P Jeff and all that, but I would just like to post my comment. I know that many people say "Why are you upset? You don't even know them personally" but to those people, the music brings passion and extreme emotion of anger and aggression. When you listen to a band and get attached to them, you start to really like the band members. If you don't get upset over the death of a band member, you are not a true fan to the band. R.I.P Jeff Hanneman, you will be truly missed by millions. Hell no longer awaits now that you have gone. \m/
Equal love for Reign and Seasons...I cannot favour one album over the other. They both represent the pinnacle of thrash for me and contain most of Jeff's best work. Keep the Slayer flame burning everyone, I know I will be.
Still mourning...How to put into words how much he meant to me, the music he gave, his input to Slayer...I have played their albums over and over again. I will never get to hear his creativity or see him performing on stage again. A great loss.
