I was twelve years old and decided to go to my second Slayer show at Heavy T.O.. Me and my brother were waiting for Raining Bloods drum beat to start. I was soo excited i was ready to jump in that pit and RAISE HELL!! At that point i still had blood on my shirt from Anthrax and my nose was close to being broken. We heard the beat and i`d wondered where the pit was and asked `` Wheres the pit brent?`` He said that it doesnt start right away and I noticed the everybody split to to sides. I ...

I saw Slayer in 2009, on the Mayhem festival. It started out with me & my guitarist at the time. We were to save up money to get seat tickets a few months before the show in West Palm Beach Florida. Well the night before the concert he tells me after we get done jamming out that he can't make the show. So I demand my money back from him..(i gave him money to stash so i didn't spend it) He tells me "it's at the bank". I offer a ride to get money, he refuses. He promises to have it the ...

by exgiI have seen Slayer 11 times, and I would consider myself a diehard fan. I'm 49 years old, and have been listening to then for the better part of my life. I have turned my 15 year old son onto them, and have taken him to 2 shows,...he loves it! At the last show we saw them was in Portland Oregon on the "Hell on earth" tour with Zombie and Exodus. Now you guys may not want to read this, but I'm not real good at sugar coating things,...so I'll just put it out there; Slayer was so fucking ...

by ork476I've seen slayer live seven times with my most recent one being with exodus and rob zombie. I wasn't disappointed at all even though Jeff Hanneman wasn't playing I still had a blast. My friends that had never been to a slayer show are now hooked and are ready to go again next summer. Hope you get well Jeff and I hope to see you again sometime next summer. Horns up!!!

by Bodom_Girlthe first time I saw slayer, was too excited because I had never seen before and was anciosa that the day of the concert came but a little nervous. had to travel to london to see and buy my ticket well in advance, so I wanted to make the time pass quickly for it to arrive the day. I only asked a question: why on Sunday?, and the truth a concert on Sunday is not good without alcohol (haha: P). but hey the band played very well, never forget that day and would like to see them again .... ...

Are you ready for "WAR-EN-SEM-BLE"?
This is the second greatest album on the face of the earth, (#1 Reign In Blood).
SEASONS IS DEFINITELY A MASTER PIECE!
I would agree with Apocalypse on that one, South being just under for a number 3 slot on most days, Skeletons is one of my actual favorite songs of all time.
i walk, step by step with Death, where all blungeoned bodies lie, you will see my face of rage, cut your heart out of your chest, leaving impaled the consumation of Mankind.
Definitely one of the top 3 best Slayer records. More variety and more complex songs than the previous two albums. Just can't decide if this is better than South Of Heaven or vice versa. Who cares? They both kick more ass than 90% of today's bands anyways.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRR
EEEEENNNNSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABLEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
CONCHETUMADRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once bying and listening to south of heaven I thaught fuck can you guys get any better, but you proved that you can but with a more mellow style which was good to hear which had abit less mellow than south of heaven though. Clear stand outs are "War Ensemble" "Dead Skin Mask" and "Skeletons of Society"
in this album i like the songs Born of Fire Spirit in Black war ensemble and skeletons of soxiety
SLAYER
Again Slayer prove it doesn't have to be a million miles an hour to be quality thrash. A varied album with different styles of song writing which was a breath of fresh air at the time. No other band comes close to Slayer when they come up with albums like this. Long may they continue....
This album was a definitive piece of work for SLAYER in my opinion.
They took what they had done before (the speed of R.i.B., the rawness of H.A., and the toned down feel of S.o.H.), and totally brought forth this monster of a great musical masterpiece in the "Heavy Metal" world.
How can you NOT get into this album? Every time I hear 'War Ensemble', or 'Seasons in the Abyss', or 'Skeletons of Society'... any of the tracks, I get chills from the pure aggression, and feeling that they put into every minute of this album.
FUCKIN' SLAYER!!!!

Re: Seasons in the Abyss
one of my favorite albums ¡¡¡WAR ENSEMBLE!!!!
