The mighty Slayer has confirmed a release date for the band's 10th studio album: World Painted Blood will be released on Monday 2nd November. In addition, Slayer has revealed the complete and correct track listing for the album that can be found on the band's newly-designed, just-launched website: www.slayer.net
"As we're so excited about World Painted Blood," said the band's Dave Lombardo, "we wanted to do something special for the packaging, and have been working with some really cool ideas. They've taken time to get just right, and with our headlining the Mayhem tour for most of the summer, it's just taken that much longer to get all these great ideas exactly the way we want them."
There will be three different editions of World Painted Blood - a limited edition CD with multiple CD covers, a deluxe edition CD/DVD, and a high-quality, 180-gram vinyl edition; specifics for all editions will be detailed shortly.
"We hope our fans will like everything about World Painted Blood as much as we do," Lombardo continued. "Recording this new album has been one of the greatest experiences we've had as a band. We were together during the writing process more than we had been for past albums, we worked more collectively, everyone's suggestions and ideas were heard and considered, and that camaraderie is definitely heard in the new album.

The Slayer shows I'm attending are only a couple of months away now, so I've been listening to a lot of Slayers back catalogue. I have to say that the new album stands up with any if the previous albums. No problem. Even Reign in Blood. IT IS AWESOME. I love it....
Hadn't listened to this for a while, but with the U.K. leg of the tour not far away I blasted it out on the weekend and it still is fucking brilliant. Every song a classic Slayer song. Enough said...
I really hope they play all of this album in their live shows. I know it's unlikely but we can dream can't we?...
I urge anyone to argue that this album will not be thought of in the same way Reign in Blood is thought of now, in 25 years time. I realise that Reign was groundbreaking at the time but this album shows a brilliant example of song writing and maturity. Awesome....
Wouldn't it be great if Slayer did a special WPB gig like they did for Reign in Blood, and played the album through in it's entirety....Wow

Listened to this again for the first time in a while. Just as good as I remember. Still, it's been a couple of years now,so, any sign of a new album again guys? We're waiting.....
