I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...I'm a very very new fan of Slayer. All I've heard from everyone was that they were crap and had a shitty sound. And since I'm a Christian I heard that "Oh their Satanic" But I gave them a listen and The first song I ever heard was Dead Skin Mask..Then Flesh Storm..I finally went and bought South of Heaven at Best Buy and really enjoyed it..And I can now say I own about 75% of their cds..and with a few more paychecks I will probably own all of them. I've never seen them Live but I would strongly suggest that I should see them live. I heard that they kick major ass. I have Unholy Alliance II but its not the same as being there. But anyways I suggest You become a fan Yourself if Your not already..They definitely have a Heavy Grungy sound mixed with Thrash..And Araya is a pure lyracist. Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman and amazing guitarists..And Lombardo is a God on the drums. Paul Bostaph's era had some great material too..So just listen for yourself and just have an open mind to the lyrics and the music itself. Its nothing I've ever heard before..But I am a recent fan and I can't believe my family held me away until I moved out and finally had some freedom..They definitely have an Amazing sound though..
