Such a mean slice of proggy dark thrash! HA would have a huge influence over future extreme metal and it’s easy to see why. I don’t have too much of a hang-up over the production as it captures a certain vibe for the era, just before the huge thrash explosion that was to follow. For the most part a solid and distinct album that displays a few of Slayer’s trademarks, and I’ve yet to hear a better metal album opener. The devil really does have the best tunes ay.
