Thank God for this band. When nothing and no one else was there to break my fall and keep my sanity intact, they were, and they did, and they do. I have a six-disc player in my car. Slayer fills all slots and never leaves that player. I never knew how full of shit so many other bands are, until things got very ugly and intensely "real" in my life. THIS BAND SAVES PEOPLE'S LIVES. THEY ARE PURELY REAL, AND NO ONE COMES WITHIN MILES OF THAT INTEGRITY. THEY STOOD BY WHAT THEY STARTED AND TO THIS DAY, I FEEL EVERY NOTE AND EVERY WORD LIKE A SLEDGEHAMMER TO THE SOUL.
