Angels meet their death. Satan takes over the universe. Kerry King has hair (I know, right!) The greatest album by any band of any genre of music of all time. Or just the greatest thrash masterpiece. Tom Araya opens this one with his ear-piercing, soul-taking shriek of death. After two total take-outs of thrash, there comes the 248 BPM TEMPO of Necrophobic. At 1:40, it is simply...fast. Altar of Sacrifice/Jesus Saves is an epic, while goofy, piece of art. The second side is just as impressive. Criminally Insane through Epidemic are all total thrashers. Then the finale...Postmortem (I like to think of Raining Blood as Postmortem Part 2). I believe Postmortem Part 1 is in 3/8 time, and while it is not quite as fast, it is still my favorite track. Then, it goes into this total preview of death metal, and finale finale, Postmortem Part 2 (Raining Blood). Completely evil, while still insanely fast (and even faster live!). And then...the apocalypse is over. Just a light rain is left. Slayer has done their best. HAIL SLAYER!!!
and guess what...REIGN IN BLOOD SOUNDS EVEN MORE SATANIC, EVIL, APOCALYPTIC, AND THRASHY ON VINYL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
