  • I first heard Slayer in 1998. I was 11 at the time. My older brother just bought the Diabolus In Musica tape. I'll probably make a pussy out of myself but at first I was so fucking afraid of this whiteheaded motherfucker on the cover that I didn't want to get anywhere near this tape. But finally curiosity won. I've put the tape in, pressed play and I waited. It was on side A and the first track was Bitter Peace. At first it was normal. Some guitars, some drums. Just music. But after about ...

Back in July, on Friday the 13th in Tampa, FL, I went to Mayhem and saw some of the heaviest and most entertaining bands in the business. Now even though I was backstage for Anthrax and moshed with some former marines during Motorhead, Slayer's performance was the most unforgettable. From the time between the end of Motorhead's performance and the beginning of Slayer's, the anticipation was killing me. Slayer would be playing right in front of me very soon, one of the greatest, if ...

One moment you write good things on the computer and the next moment, the manager bans you. Believe me, I have experience. I got banned when I wrote a topic on my South Park account on July 17. I asked a question that did not exist. That's what banned me. I have autism. I have always had a learning disbility. Do you think you will have some compassion for me? Being banned sucks. I just need to get rid of this "disease" and hope I don't end up going on "vacation" from the computer. I don't ...
  • Mayhem Fest in Chicago this SATURDAY and we got screwed! My husband was taking our son Miles who is 9 to the concert. Miles is really into heavy metal. He went with Mike to see Iron Maiden 2 weeks ago. Anyway, there is N. O WAY that I will allow Miles in the pit. That is just insane. The other option... a refund, but then my kid loses out on a great concert. He has already seen the Slayer set list online. Live Nation fucked up royally! They double sold the seats and now we have to pay the ...

Thank you Brothers! The show in San Bernardino last night was out of this world! It was awesome seeing so many youngsters in the crowd singing every Slayer song word-for-word! I have been a diehard Slayer fan for years! This was my 13th Live Slayer show! I got my first taste of "Slayer Live" back in 1986, in Hollywood @ Madame Wong's when I was 15. It was like church... I've been a loyal fan ever since. As long as you guys keep playing shows, I'll keep banging in the pit! You guys are The ...

...seeing Slayer for the first time ...from the third row ...on friend's shoulders ...showing my breasts to Kerry King ...

Comments

You have to agree with Kerry Kings statement that sonically this album sounds great. It's just the songs aren't Slayer, whichever way you look at it. The original Slayer tune is great though...

This album is interesting however SLAYER is SLAYER and I prefer music by SLAYER Smiling

SLAYER KURWA!!!! Fuckin' SLAYER!!!

WHAT CAN ONE SAY I LIKED THE SONGS BY THE ORIGINAL ARTISTS AND SLAYER DOING EM JUST MADE A GREAT ALBUM OF COVERS AND GEMINI FUCKING ROCKS

Released as a stop-gap, UA mainly consists of a collection of punk covers as a tribute to the influence it had on Slayer’s sound. I would’ve rather heard the metal covers but whatever, at least the production is good and nice to see Jeff’s two tracks included from his side project Smiling Most of the cover choices work well enough and does see Tom pull off some intense vox. Strange choice to tag Gemini on the end, never liked it, not the Slayer I know and love. UA would’ve been better served as a bonus disc, it's not one I reach for much.

Fave track: Any from VA /MT/Spiritual Law
