Released as a stop-gap, UA mainly consists of a collection of punk covers as a tribute to the influence it had on Slayer’s sound. I would’ve rather heard the metal covers but whatever, at least the production is good and nice to see Jeff’s two tracks included from his side project Most of the cover choices work well enough and does see Tom pull off some intense vox. Strange choice to tag Gemini on the end, never liked it, not the Slayer I know and love. UA would’ve been better served as a bonus disc, it's not one I reach for much.

You have to agree with Kerry Kings statement that sonically this album sounds great. It's just the songs aren't Slayer, whichever way you look at it. The original Slayer tune is great though...
